Longhorn Server Beta 3 - 比Vista效能更加的Vista

上面這張是我的主螢幕的擷圖。Microsoft 將於 2008 年推出 Windows Server 2008 ( 開發代號 "Longhorn Server" ) 是以Vista為基礎所設計出的伺服器用作業系統。但奇怪的是它仍可以啟動 Media Center、系統評分以外的所有 Vista 功能，而且所消耗的系統資源明顯較 Vista 低，而且更加穩定。
和 Vista 一樣，他也可以啟動 Sidebar、Aero Glass 和 Flip 3D 等功能，而且不須先進行啟動。
另外，eMule可以順利的運行(我並沒有做特別的設定)。

Why paying for server OS when you only need to play games? (no matter you paid the money buying it or paid the time downloading it)

甲方: Server OS本來就不是娛樂平台，幹嘛在上面玩game、看影片，不是自找麻煩?
乙方: Server OS同樣的配備下跑起來比Desktop OS更順，而且Desktop有的Server
也都有，幹嘛不物盡其用?

請教幾個問題
1 想玩game時出現找不到gameux.dll這個檔案 google搜一下也沒得載 苦也
2 要如何新增telnet這個fouction呢 bbs不給看 苦也苦也
3 看影片時畫質很差 fullscreen還會嚴重lag 是否為驅動程式關係? Geforce GO 6200大概沒救了吧
把舊板驅動程式掛上去倒是正確安裝 桌面解析度也正常
小弟安裝的是Database板 (這個試用期比較久 到八月 呵)
另外 sever板掛驢真的有差耶
我的XPro大概連續放個三五天就會慢下來 最後只剩個位數上下傳 Longhorn則否
而且掛驢同時上網只感覺慢些而已 不像XP會整片空白還給你顯示"Done"
嗯 在網路管理方面真的很不錯

because server OS is way more expensive.
XDR:
you can install telnet client on Control Panel -> Programs -> Add Windows Feature.
Btw, don't run Datacenter edt. on notebook. It's designed for multi-way servers. Std. / Ent. is more suitable to test on notebook.
Btw, I found out there's a Core Server option during installation. Those interested in console mode can try this one.
