Our search engine provides so called ed2k URI referring to files in your search request. These files were recently seen by our monitoring system in edonkey / emule p2p network. Unlike usual http URL (Universal Resource Locator), ed2k is a URI (Universal Resource Identificator). While http URL as the name suggests points to the location of a resource, for example a web page, ed2k URI provides an identificator of a resource. A typical ed2k URI contains unique file identificator, file name, and file size.
There are many p2p clients such as eMule, which are able to perform search and download of a file based on information contained in ed2k URI.
