I think P4 3.0 's temp is around 60 degree C.
Did you check your other fans in your case ?
I had a similar case with a P4 3.2 on my 2th computer,
but I fix it by changing all the fans in the case include CPU 's fan.
The temp drops from 95 to 60 around.
BTW, did you try to change the metal on top of the CPU as well ?
You should try that as well. Also don't forget to change the front fan
if you have one ( the one suck the cool air in to your PC, usually in the
button of your case front ).發表人:

我在bios監測時並沒有蓋上機殼, 先不考慮對流問題
除了換掉舊的cpu fan外也沒裝case fan
而Chipset的偵測溫度是45度左右, 我認為是正常的
如果均溫是60度, 那我的cpu溫度確實不正常
你說的 "the metal on top of the CPU" 是CPU表面?
那部份是我可以換的嗎??
cpu的表層會有燒壞的可能嗎?

For such high CPU temp,
I would really suggest you to reinstall the CPU fan & " 散熱器 ".
What jmlab said sounds right, make sure you heard all 4 click sounds
when you install the CPU's fan.
Also make sure the surface of your CPU is still flat & smooth.
Otherwise, the " 散熱器 " might not be able to cool the CPU too well.發表人:

我的p4-3.0EG(478)全速不超過65度c 待機5x度 均關機殼
請確認cpu及散熱器表面是完整接觸,再注意散熱膏是否塗勻,不然p4-478的扣具壓力一定都夠,不太可能像你說的那麼高
原廠如果有石墨導熱貼紙,我都撕掉再磨平表面,這樣的接觸導熱效果也會比較好
