It’s amazing what people will believe if it’s written down somewhere.
Today, a fake article was published, which stated that Jordan Chandler had
confessed to having lied in court 16 years ago, where he accused Michael
Jackson of molesting him. This comes shortly after the death of Michael
Jackson, and was a clear attempt to cash in on everyone’s anger over the
death of the King of Pop.
This “article” quickly spread through the Internet, especially over
Twitter, where it spent a considerable amount of time in the trending topics.
A surprising number of people believed the article without question, despite
the fact that it was on a new wordpress.com blog, with no history of accuracy
and no sources. On top of this, the article was inaccurate and poorly written.
