Really ?

How come I felt way faster when I upgraded from single-core to quad-core CPU ?
How come It only spend 1/10 time to unzip files compare to before ?
How come I can turn on all the ffdshow effects which I couldn't before ?
How come My boot time gets way faster ?
How come I play games a lot faster than before ?
How come I can open 20 firefox's tabs at once within few seconds ?

The truth is, quad-core is a lot faster and that's why it's costly.

I upgraded my HD3870 before I upgraded CPU.
The only differences are watching 1080P HDRIP ( hardware-decode ) and game faster, but it will not make my computer faster. That's why I decide to upgrade my CPU to Q6600. Then,
My computer got faaaast !!!
