我用SPFDISK設開機檔，只能安裝到MBR中，選單中第二項為ubuntu
，都顯示目前無法啟動，Windows開機沒問題。該如何做呢？
ubuntu安裝過程並無開機管理選項，安裝完重啟只有ubuntu的開機選單，無法讓XP優先。
我的問題是：一、最好是用中文的開機管理顯示並且XP優先。
二、如果可能，希望開機選單是屬於Windows所管，若不行要如何更改ubuntu的開機選單？

如果你是使用 grub 的開機管理程式的話，可以參考一下這裡，

改寫你的 /boot/grub/menu.list，加入

(此設定值需依個人電腦不同而修改)

title Windows XP Pro
      rootnoverify (hd1,0)
      chainloader +1
      makeactive
      boot

註1：紅字的"Window XP Pro"為自己取名
註2：rootnoverify (hd1, 0)
                        ↑    ↑分割區 ( 0 為第一分割區)
                        硬碟順序 (0 為第一顆)

用SPFDISK的話，沒記錯的話，需要將grub或lilo安裝到放Linux的分割的Super Block。不是只有在SPFDISK加選單就好。

greensky兄：這是我menu.lst的內容（因為在Linux寫入軟碟，在Windows讀取，可能有點亂，在Linux 發表回復都不成功）目前用grub開機正常，開機畫面為ubuntu7.10，依次為安全模式及命令模式，我想把XP設為第一優先，是把你說的那些加到最後嗎？還是如何修改？（我的XP安裝在第一分割第一顆磁碟）謝謝！

這要看你 xp 的 title 設在那一個
以0為第一個
再來往上看到 default 0
這個0就是開機預設的title的號碼
就代表從你設定的第一個title為預設
也就是Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-14-generic

default 表示開機選單的預設選擇，以你目前的設定，就是使用 Ubuntu 7.10, kernel 2.6.22-14-generic 開機，

你的設定裡已包含使用 Windows 開機的選項：

剛剛去ubuntu把那個0改為3，存檔時顯示警告訊息“你沒有足夠的權限儲存檔案”真有點洩氣！
連在網頁中發表回復也被擋，每次都得回到XP來弄，還真感激各位的耐心。請各位繼續幫忙吧。

你必需有root權限才能改
sudo xxx

我是用視窗模式開的檔，命令模式沒學過，剛剛去試了一下：sudo grub輸入密碼後就不知道如何開menu.lst編輯了。不能直接用視窗模式編輯嗎？

或是

2. sudo gedit
↑ 改為你使用的編輯軟體名稱，再開檔編輯。
